The Osteria Malabocca is a small, family-run restaurant, owned by Roberto Dalfiume and his wife Denise Tassinari. It is housed in the town hall on the main square in Bagnacavallo. Without doubt, the most apt definition for the type of cuisine served at Osteria Malabocca is “seasonal”. In fact, great importance is placed on the ingredients that must be as fresh as possible and of course, seasonal. The menu is divided into four parts - vegetarian, fish and meat menus line up alongside a menu that exalts the flavours and fragrances of the territory. This latter menu contains dishes that are clearly territorial, in which the premium produce of the region dominate, like Mora romagnola meat, Fossa cheese from Sogliano, Cervia salt and oily fish from the Adriatic. All pasta dishes, desserts and bread are homemade daily and the jams, which are served with the cheeses and the pickled vegetables that accompany the cold cuts, are also homemade. The wine list focuses mainly on labels from Emilia Romagna which prevail, although there is also a good selection from other Italian wine cellars. <<<
