Ingredients and quantities

Quantities for 15 people:

  • 3 whole eggs
  • 2l milk (or 1.5l milk and ½l water)
  • 100g Grana Padano cheese
  • pinch of salt
  • 50g lard
  • grated rind of 1 lemon
  • nutmeg
  • 1kg breadcrumbs approx.
Accompanying wines:
Romagna DOC Sangiovese

Preparation method:

Mix together all the ingredients in a bowl. In the meantime, grease and flour a baking tray. The tray should be large enough to ensure the mixture is about 4 cm deep in it. Pour in the mixture and place in an oven heated to 180°C. Cooking is complete when the surface is golden brown.
