The recently-opened Hostaria delle Terre Verdiane comes from the evolution of the family’s historical activity of selling salamis, cold cuts and Parmigiano Reggiano, situated nearby. The premises recall the ancient tradition of taverns of the Parma area that were food shops and meeting places at the same time, where the best of local delicatessen products could be found, perhaps served with a basket of piping hot torta fritta (fried dumplings). The Hostaria offers a vast range of products and dishes prepared using locally-sourced quality ingredients, to be savoured in sample or a la carte menus and with a specific offer for business lunches. As well as kitchen accessories chosen directly by the owner, the spacious rooms of the restaurant-delicatessen shop offer a rich assortment of typical cold cuts, Parmigiano Reggiano cheese and wines that can be purchased directly and taken home – including the wines (over 100 labels) – or consumed in the restaurant. To complete the offer, a bookshop area has the most important textbooks and recipe books on the origins and traditions of local cuisine, so customers can find out more about local specialities and prepare them at home. Platters of cold cuts, fresh homemade pasta dishes, famous hot shoulder of pork, roast meats, boiled meats and a selection of Parmigiano Reggiano, from fresh cheese to the rare variety matured 72 months are some of the main dishes offered to enthusiasts with the pride of promoting quality products that cannot be found elsewhere, offering truly unique sensorial experiences. <<<
