Ristorante “Da Matteo” is close to the fish market in what was once the old railway station of Salvataggio and is a beautiful example of renovation of one of the most important historical buildings in Marina di Ravenna. Three generations work in this family-run restaurant – the chef Manuela Savorelli and her son Matteo work in the kitchen, with grandma Ornella preparing desserts and hand-rolled pasta, and Max, Angelica and Martina work in the dining room. The restaurant is elegant and sophisticated and the dishes respect tradition and its genuine flavours, but with the creative re-thinking of some dishes, whilst still focusing on great fragrances. By choosing top-quality ingredients, the chef interprets the particular characteristics of the simple produce as it narrates the rich menu. This includes freshly-caught fish, which is either roasted, grilled or cooked in salt, traditional risottos, seafood soup, mixed fried fish and mixed grilled fish, but also lots of hot and cold starters, fresh pasta first courses and rich single courses, including fish dishes. <<<
