Ristorante Corte di Giarola stands between the river and the hills, in the historical courtyard that from the Middle Ages to the 19th century was a monastery, then became a farm estate and is now the location for Taro Park. In this magnificent backdrop, the restaurant provides the perfect place to celebrate life’s key moments in a context that exudes tradition. In fact, the spacious and rustic courtyard carries with it years of history. The Brianti family welcomes customers with warmth and cordiality serving menus that interpret the typical flavours of the area and the most famous dishes of Parmesan cuisine. These include tortelli filled with chard or Gorgonzola cheese and pears, Giuseppe Verdi-style risotto with asparagus, Porcini mushrooms and culatello, Rosa di Parma (Parma-style rolled tenderloin), Parma-style tripe, roast culatello and guinea fowl with truffles, as well as desserts such as traditional “sbrisolona” crumble cake.
The restaurant has a large selection of typical products ranging from cold cuts to cheeses, to a selection of regional wines in the cellar. The venue has been designed to be as versatile as possible; in fact, it can host private functions and corporate dinners, as well as festivals, fetes or theme evenings. Lunch or dinner at Corte di Giarola also provide an excellent opportunity to visit the complex, which is home to the Tomato Museum, an ancient deconsecrated church and extensive porticoes that will help visitors relive a thousand years of history in a single day. <<<
