  • 500g whole sardines
  • 60g extra-virgin olive oil from Brisighella
  • 1 medium-sized lemon
  • 1 clove garlic salt and pepper

Preparation method:

Clean the sardines well, removing the heads and intestines.

Place the unpeeled garlic clove in some oil in a large frying pan. Add the sardines and cook over a lively heat. When cooked as desired, after just a few minutes, remove from the heat and pour over the lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper and leave in the covered frying pan for a while.

Serve the sardines in a deep dish, pouring over the juices obtained during cooking.
